For business: process company documents without uploading them
Spreadsheets, PDFs, quotes and contracts often contain customer and employee data. Our tools are built so that this data stays on your computers wherever possible, and so that you can see exactly when it does not.
Data boundary
Every tool runs in one of four modes, and the mode is shown to the user.
| Mode | Where files are processed | Available today |
|---|---|---|
| In the browser | In the user's browser tab. Files do not leave the device. | Browser tools on this site, on 4 tool sites and on chatwithpdf.tools |
| On your computer | A local program on the user's PC. No network requests. | Offline MCP bundle for Claude Desktop with 20 tools (source) |
| Edge memory | Cloudflare Workers memory. Not stored or logged by us. | Most REST API and MCP calls |
| External | A named third party: the site you ask us to fetch, Cloudflare Workers AI, or your own AI provider. | Network and AI endpoints, shown in the X-Egress header of every response |
Local file contents are not sent to our edge or to a third party without the user choosing a tool that says so. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of processors.
Install and run locally
- Today: the browser tools process files inside the browser without sending them to a server, and the offline MCP bundle runs on the user's PC with no network requests.
- In preparation: a package that runs our tools inside your own network. Tell us your environment (Windows or Linux, internet access or not) and we will tell you what fits.
Pilot
We start with one repeatable task, for example cleaning up spreadsheets, turning documents into submission-ready PDFs, or making quotes and transaction statements. Send us:
- the task and roughly how often you do it,
- where the files must stay (in the browser, on your PCs, or inside your network),
- who would use it.

Plans and contracts
Paid API plans (monthly subscriptions) and credit packs are listed on API pricing; checkout opens once our payment provider finishes reviewing our account. Terms for a pilot (scope, data handling, support) are agreed with you before it starts. Developers can try the hosted API and MCP server today within the free trial limits.
