- Data we collect: none. The extension contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and there is no server run by the extension.
- Files: only the file you choose with a right-click or a popup button is fetched, from its own address, and handed to the tool tab you chose in the same browser (dagotools.com, getdesigntools.com, freesoundtools.com, seosikchukchuk.com, chatwithpdf.tools, toolsthatdontupload.com). It stays in the extension's memory for at most 2 minutes and is deleted as soon as it is handed over. It is never written to disk or extension storage.
- Stored in your browser: pinned tool addresses and the search-language setting (chrome.storage.sync; Chrome syncs these with your Google account if you turned on Chrome sync). While a permission prompt is open, the file address is kept in chrome.storage.session and removed afterwards.
- Permissions: access to files on another site is requested for that single site, only when you allow it, and can be removed in the extension's Settings at any time.
- After hand-over, each tool site's own privacy policy applies. These sites process files in the browser without uploading them. One exception you control: on chatwithpdf.tools, if you choose its own-API-key mode, the extracted text and your question are sent from your browser to the AI provider you chose (OpenAI or Anthropic).

Permissions and why
- activeTab: read the file you right-click, or the file open in the current tab when you press a popup button; only for that tab, only after your action.
- contextMenus: adds "Open in a local tool" to the right-click menu on PDFs, images, audio, video and links to such files.
- storage: pinned tools and the search-language setting; during a permission prompt, the pending file address (cleared after use). No file content is stored.
- Host access to our six sites (dagotools.com, getdesigntools.com, freesoundtools.com, seosikchukchuk.com, chatwithpdf.tools, toolsthatdontupload.com): a small script on these sites puts the file into the tool's file input. It runs only when the address carries the one-time code the extension created.
- Optional access to other sites (not granted at install): asked for one site at a time, only when you open a file stored on another site and press "Allow and continue". Remove it in Settings.
No remote code: every script ships inside the extension package.
